My dear readers,
I have arrived again at this console of narrative imputation, and once more the world may have its little bit of joy. The river kwai action has been completed, and so im spending one last night in the charming ish town of Katchanaburi before banging back on the bus to bangkok tomorow to pick up visa and then gho off to the Bodia.
The bridge was quite a treat, but the map to get there wasnt. Its only at the end of the town and looks like its about 500 yds away on the map, but it took us about 25 minutes to walk. Good heavens, that must be over a mile! Met up with two new punters, Ben and Simon, who have been cruisin around for quite a while i the worlrd arena. That is to say, theyve been travelling since November and February respectively. Today took an exciting tour for the grand price of 550 baht, about 7 quids in your english moneys. Hellfire Pass (an exquisite example of 1940's stonemasonry; a hand crafted corpse lined slice through a somewhat consid3erable rocky protuberance, engineered by the finest slave labour Japanese Imperialism could rustle up, to facilitate the successful completion of some 440km of first rate railway action linking Burma with Thailand, thus removing the reliance on the troublesome singapore - rangoon sea route, much plagued by scampering and frequently coslty enemy sorties, and speeding the build up of men and munitions in Burma for the victorious offensive into British controlled India, to further bash the balshy blighty blighters); dodgy old waterfall after that which was crawling with squaddies on exercises; elephant ride (they're really quite big you know!); green water rafting (was white if you swished the water round a bit), Pad thai with pork for a sumptuous luncheon, and then to cap it all off a return trip along the aforementioned thai-burma railway to Kachanaburi, over kwai bridge (not the same one as in the film, couldnt see Sir Alec anywhere, so no signature for you Rich I'm sorry, wasnt even made of wood although was from the war. Did you know that the actual wooden bridge didnt look anything like the one in the film. They just made it up, just like that. A outrage. Also, the pow camp is now a tourist centre and hotel. How cheery; I'm not staying there.)
Also, havent seen neither hide nor hair of Dr Octagon adn his famed dirty bomb. Intelligence reports indicate that he has fled the border into Bodia and is now holed up in Ankor Wat. Mike!, i also heard a rumour that he was planning to go to top banana's! I met a bloke from ireland who has been cruising around s.e.asia for time, and i asked hinm what he could recommend about going around. First thing he said was top banana and his henchman easy Tiger. The guy even gave me a card for the place, so yours will not be missed. Cherub, are you receiving this? Dr. Octagon. You cant run, and you cant hide forever.

OK, Rach, a question for you. How does one transfer a message from hotmail to here? A bit of a mission to keep rewriting what I'm doing in my journal and on emil and on here. Surely science has found a way.
